About Module 2
In module 2, we were introduced into very intresting subjects such as looking more in depth into the second level of the OSI model and the devices associated with it, SOHO routers, concepts of TCP/IP, and other aspects of networking.
This module was in my opinion a great next step after having learned about the OSI and TCP/IP models, mainly because we actually got to build off the information we had just learned about these models.
The selected assignments I chose to showcase from module 2 can be found by using the navigation menu to the left but before you do so, please read about why I chose them below.
More On My Module 2 Showcase
- The TCP/IP and Subnet Masking assignment consisted of answering questions concerning components and concepts in a Transmission Control Program/Internet Program (TCP/IP) network and how it works. These questions ranged from looking at TCP/IP versions, protocols, the layers in which IP and TCP reside on, what is DNS, what is NAT, and what is a subnet mask. Overall I felt that this assignment to be of great benefit to me, because it allowed me to learn more over the TCP/IP model and expand my knowledge on how TCP/IP works.
