Eddie Mazariegos' CIS 3347 Learning Portfolio

Ending Notes

After looking through my portfolio, it is hard to believe the amount of material we covered and how important it was to learn especially in my case as a CIS major. From knowing an average amount of networking and the infrastructure of it, to having a lot more knowledge about items such as the OSI/TCP model (especially knowning all the layers) and of course the internet of things. Professor Crowley I can say once more that you were one of the best instructors I had this semester, and really value the time you spent to teach us these fundamentals we will need in our academic and professional CIS careers, especially if I ever decide to go to the networking field. If anything Professor, I wanted to make sure you know that I would certainly suggest you keep using videos in your presentations as well as giving students reviews because they really do help us as students absorb more from the lecture, as well as focus on some important areas. If more time was available though, I would have liked to look at the topic of the Internet of Things and Cloud Computing just because it is so interesting, especially because we are seeing this develop everyday in front of our eyes. As for how I would make my portfolio better if I had more time, it would be purely aesthetic mainly because I feel I could have gone with a different color scheme and possibly added a few more distinguishing details, but overall I am pleased with the result.

Just one last time Professor, I want to express my thanks and gratitude for a wonderful semester this year. Although the workload was sometimes a bit tough, your teaching style and the given tools made it easy and entertaining to learn. Thank you again Professor.
